One reader recalled her childhood memories about cycling, often in the dark. Back when lights were big clunky things with large bulbs and batteries which would randomly stop working if you hit a bump or would run out of battery very quickly.
Thanks to technology and better driver education, cycling safety has come on leaps and bounds and one of the biggest contributors to this is the humble LED. It first improved bike lights and battery life, but then expanded to become a multi-faceted friend of the cyclist. This has included better, brighter front and rear lights, headlights, projections, jacket lights, and even lighting pathways from the ground up.
Check out this guide to find out more about how LEDs are helping cyclists.
